LATIN COMES TO THE OLD SCHOOL!
2019 saw the addition of Latin to the timetable at The Old School. With over 50% of English words and nearly 90% of French words having their root in Latin, the study of the language, as well as being great fun, provides invaluable support across the curriculum. Moreover, the ability to deal with a classical language is still seen as a notable addition to any CV.
Chris Brannam, who has taught the subject to GCSE Level and beyond for over 25 years, will be offering classes to both beginners and those who have studied the subject before. The timings of the lessons will very much depend upon gaps in individual timetables, but a session on Friday afternoons between 4 and 6 p.m. has been provisionally allocated.
If your son/daughter would like to give the subject an initial try, please contact me at info@oldschoolfrance.com giving details of their level of experience and when they have free time in the timetable.
If you would like any more information please do not hesitate to speak to Chris at school.
